Driving from Santa Fe to Pagosa Springs

Today we were just driving from Santa Fe in New Mexico to Pagosa Springs in Colorado. There wasn't really anything on the way other than amazing scenery. I took most of the photos from the car at 60 miles an hour...so some are a bit fuzzy...

We stopped on the side of the road to have some lunch and look at these mountains from closer up.

The landscape was ever changing.

As we crossed the State line, it was as if we were in a different country. Suddenly everything was green and there was snow on the mountain tops.

It looked a lot like Switzerland.

Pagosa Springs is a very busy touristy town with people everywhere. It smelled like trees and fresh air. Very different from the deserts we've been in over the last week.

Santa Fe

We had a relaxing Saturday - not too much rushing around.
Started with a buffet breakfast at our motel. Waffles with syrup and muffins.

A bit later we walked across the road to the Farmers Market. We shared some apple cider slushies.

One of the strangest things at the market was these sage animals sold for $40 each!

Also had some chilli creations. Not sure if one is suppose to hang it on the wall or use it for cooking...

We also found a playground on the way.

After a bit more relaxing at the hotel and some time at the pool, we went to the historical centre of town. It was really touristy.

The buildings were amazing.

We wandered through another market.

When we went for a drive looking for some dinner we found the button that opened our sunroof.

We had dinner at Blakes Lotaburger.
