Los Angeles

We had one last drive left from Palm Desert to Los Angeles. Traffic going into LA wasn't too bad at this stage.


Our flight was only at 9:30 pm, so we had some time to soak up a bit more summer sun.
We went to Long Beach.

 The boys made some sandy meatballs.

Finally it was time to go...

A last play in the cool car.

And then braving the LA traffic again. Fortunately we could use the carpool lane and saved lots of time.

All ready to check in.

The boys kept themselves busy at the airport with running races and playing with a Frisbee. The boys had fun. Not so sure about the other passengers around us.

    

      

What a great trip!!

Last night in Palm Desert

Close to the end of our trip we decided to change our last night of accommodation from a very expensive place in Los Angeles to a resort in Palm Desert. That was a great decision!

A special bonus was complimentary evening snacks and drinks.

       

     

The boys went to grab their big ball to play some basketball. I started saying to Matt that the ball will probably land on a prickly plant. I didn't get a chance to finish the sentence before the ball was no more.
At least it meant we didn't have to figure out how to get it back.

It was such a nice way to spend our last night. After drinks and nibbles no-one needed dinner.

We went for a late night swim and spa.

 

Our hotel stay also included a cook-to-order breakfast.

   

Check out was only at 12:00 so there was plenty of time to enjoy the pool before heading to Los Angeles.

This was such a wonderful last night. Wish we could've stayed here a bit longer....
